As our summer students will leave at the end of the next week we went to Pratt’s Falls Park to spend the final weekend together. We made everyone a personalized gift that features their projects.

Joel gives a talk at the Gordon Research Seminars
The conference took place in Ventura, CA. The subject of the meeting was Metals in Biology. Very few undergraduate students are selected to present at GRS. In addition to giving a talk, Joel also presented a poster.

Denis presents at the REU conference
Chemistry and Biology students completed their program at Syracuse University and presented their results. Denis also presented his work at the REU Symposium in Alexandria, VA on October 22-23.
Joel presents his work at the Meredith symposium
This one-day conference was established to prepare first-generation students as well as women in science for future conference participation at the national level.
